Sometimes when I play Counterstrike or Unreal Tournament, my computer just freeze... If I run Winamp in the background, it continues to play unaffected by the "freeze".
So my mouse, the screen, and the sfx in the game stops, but wamp keeps playing. This is REALLY annoying!
Any help appreciated 😀

MB temp: 20-30°C
 
Have you installed the AMD Agp patch? If not, it could cause lockups while in 3D Apps. Maybe it is not that because the sound tends to loop when it happens but you may give it a try.
