I usually just skim through P&N, however, I can't believe the responses to this. This is real news. It's not some ambulance chasing crap, this is what's REAL and what happens everyday.

American's especially just don't want to see this. They don't want to get involved, they want to sip their cafe latte, driving their SUV and talking on the cell phone to the person they are having an affair while going to pickup their 2.5 kids from day care.

You do realize these remarks are the same things people that like to burn books make. There was a warning of death and carnage, the 'mini' should have been a big enough clue it was some sort of child or midget perhaps, maybe animals...

Do you believe in freedom or do you believe in locking the 'real world' down from Joe Public.

Exactly - this is, as the site says, stuff you won't see on CNN. Yeah, the images are horrifying. CNN shows Iraqi adult men firing missile launchers, and American tanks/bombers returning fire. You don't often hear about our troops accidentally killing Iraqi police officers, nor do you see much mention of Iraqi casualties. Yesterday on CNN, the Iraqi casualties for, I believe it was Fallujah, was over 400. Then they cut to a big story about 7 people killed. So, the 400 dead Iraqi (we're to assume these are all evil people I guess) get a few seconds of airtime, while 7 allied people get a full segment. I only wonder how the numbers of dead Iraqis at the hands of the US compare to those killed by Saddam. And by making that statement, note that I don't want to say that Saddam was a charming gentleman. I just want to say, hopefully we don't turn out to be even more effective killers than he was, especially if we want to appear as peaceful, helpful invaders.

I wish our news wasn't censored and people could see what truly goes on in a war. Show some dead bodies, burned skeletons, etc... Show the people exactly what they support. Instead we get pretty segments of a school re-opening and all the kids got a pack of crayons from the Marines.

GrGr, do you have a link to the people in the mass graves that Saddam killed?

Killing more people aint going to bring them back.

Sounds like a wager to me. I represent the typical conservative and I say we should just start burning villages with civilians in them all over the world just because we can for no good reason. Then we'll start jacking off to our success

OF FREAKING COURSE IT WON'T BRING THEM BACK YOU MORON. Do you really think anyone belives it will????
*rant to everyone*
However, by taking saddam from power, we have stopped him from causing more deaths. And don't bother bringing up the fact that we are causing deaths now. You would have been one of those whinners during the US revolutionary war who said we should just be happy to live under brittish rule. We shouldn't fight for our independance because people might die. We are fighting to make the world a better place. I'm sorry you don't realize that and condemn us for it.
