I can confirm the Maxtor drive weirdness; I get READ_TIMEOUT errors every time I boot my machine due to the Maxtor HD. BTW: some BSD 'purists' regard 3.5.1-STABLE as the last 'real' FreeBSD implementation. Heh. I disagree; and hopefully 5.0 w/ SMPng and TrustedBSD extensions integrated into the codebase will give the OS the boost it needs to overtake Linux in some of those server markets it has locked up 🙂

5.0 looks nice. I cant wait. Although, I still liked the 2.2.8 release 😛

Ive been using OpenBSD since 2.6. I havent gone back except for my dual machine. And since FreeBSD was giving me fits I went with Linux :/
