It should have overwritten the old binary. It probably wouldnt prompt you unless the permissions were screwy to begin with.

Silly yes! Thanks guys for your help.

BTW: if any of you have tons of digital pictures and want to make a online web gallery..check out:
Gallery
It is open source, and handles automatic Thumbnailing and generates HTML on the fly...i think it uses php and something else.
Fairly easy to set up also.

Do you simply want to make tumbnails of images from PHP?
Is there convert utility in freeBSD (it is installed by default on every linux distro)?
