Freebie Thread is too Large

Dear Anandtech Moderator,

The post in the fs/ft forum known as the Freebie thread has grown to over 4000 posts and is over 200 pages. It takes a considerable amount of time to view the thread and most new posts on that thread are people complaining about how large it is and cumbersome to search, use etc.

Would it be possible to:

1) delete "old messages from that thread; or
2) start a new thread?

why dont you guys just increase posts per page? ive got mine at 500 and i love it. you fools complaining about 200 pages or more could easily reduce that.

We're complaining about loading times. IF you increase the posts per page to 500, it'll take even longer to load .

i understand that, but if you increased to 500 PPP then you only have to wait a few times for a little bit longer.
