I'm using a 1.5TB with the latest firmware (came that way, not flashed), and it's still buggy! It is showing as TWO drives under My Computer 😕.
 
I picked one up from bestbuy, I'm liking it. I have it hooked up to a NSLU2 and have it shared over the network; works fine.

Did you get the USB 2.0 only version that is on sale for 149.99 this week or did you pick up this same drive from Bestbuy?

Suck, I've been wanting one of these drives for a while. Hope it gets worked out man.
 
Thanks OP, I got one of these, connected through firewire. Recognized as single 1.36TB drive and is transferring data right now
 
Guys,

I don't want anyone to have problems, but I had problems with two of these....rma'd once, and looks like another soon. Mine is a 5yr retail internal, so hoping to rma down the road for a 3x500gb platter version.

Both showed as two drives, but the first also showed errors right away. This new one was fine then after two weeks shows as two drives?? It also auto-runs an error scan every now and then on reboot???

Since my first build in 99 I have never had any drive(s) act so weird.

Again, hope everyone has the best of luck 🙂.
