I got something going on with my car as some of you might know any how.

One of my club mates owns a shop, I have seen him at meets and greeted him, but we never really talked.

I called him up and asked if he could help me.

He called me back said yea sure, I asked about how much he wants and he said "its cool just come down"

So its implied its pro-bono right? I am probably over thinking this lol

you can probably get someone overage to buy your beer, this is easy cake everybody knows this, however I am not recommending it as it is illegal, although maybe it's not because you're not drinking it. He might find it extra-nice that you went out of your way to do this.
 
^ I could get someone to buy me a pack thats no problem. I think that will prob be the best idea. Pizza wont be good since its going to spoil his dinner since ill be there at 4ish.

Or OP might get stopped for a minor traffic violation and end up getting arrested / car towed for transporting alcoholic beverages.

Always worked for me....except I got hassled the time I had four 30-cases in the back seat....lol.

lol, YMMV of course - there's legal precedent in NH on this exact circumstance...we don't have a choice anymore.
 
i do minor work for free pending on if i have to get dirty or not. if its like a 10-15 minute job where i dont have to do much, like wiring stuff up, installing HID bulb. I normally ask them or they ask me to for food, small stuff. Im normally happy with that.

As long as i feel you will take care of me if i ever needed your help that i'm cool. Never go empty handed even if they say just come by. At the least bring something that will cover the cost of materials if he has to use on your car.

Problem bring beer is knowing what they like...

we have a similar thought process. ill work for free for friends if they are actually helping with it. if they are standing there watching ill charge them. food and beer are usually irrelevant tho, return favors are where its at.
 
Its all done, took less then 1 min after the car was jacked up to find the issue, talked a bit gave him a 6 pack and he appreciated that, said thanks and I left.

If it's a job that will take an hour or two you just offer to call out for food when you're wrapping up. I wouldn't recommend getting beer if you're underage on the off chance you get stopped. For all you know the guy is a cop D:
