Essentially you pay tax on the TV, 360 and game. and you get the xbox & game for free
Cheapest TV is $1079
also, you can get an XBL marketplace points card for $5 with a halo 3 preorder

Total for a 720p 50" (you can get a 1080p and a larger screen), a $350 xbox, $20 point card, and a halo 3 preorder.
$1139.21 AFTER 6% iowa sales tax, all available in my local store for pickup.

I would probably reccomend upgrading the tv but this is hot...

Not bad... but the deal only works with DLP TVs, which are sort of on their way "out"

Well if a Diamond Member says they are on there way out, then it must be tru!! amirite?
/end sarcasm

Great deal poster, I was toying around with this the other day myself, but I can't find a 1080p set with the size restrictions I have. That being said, the new line with the LED's is sweet. DLP's are going to continue to drop in price, but this deal definetly sweetens the pot for purchasing now instead of later.

I had to get in on this. I've been watching the prices on this TV for some time and was considering purchasing it three months ago for $999.

By comparison, we shopped it in store against several plasma and LCD TVs and even at $999 it was by far the best bang/buck option.

Samsung 50" DLP HDTV Model: HLT5075S
Microsoft Xbox 360 Console System Model: B4J-00107 (w/HDMI)
Halo 3: Xbox 360 Pre-Order
Microsoft 1,600 Xbox Live Marketplace Points Model: 56P-00001
Microsoft Xbox Live Gold 13-Month Subscription with Collector's Series Halo 3 Card Design Model: 52M-00010
Best Buy $25 Gift Card
$100 NFLShop.com Certificate (MIR)

$1134.95 plus tax

Free delivery on everything and/or in-store pickup.

We needed a new TV and I abandoned my 360 when we moved so this is nearly the perfect deal for us.

I purchased the Samsung 50" DLP 720p at Circuit City last week for $999.00 . I took the add in from best buy and asked for a price match on the Xbox 360. They accepted the price match and I walked out of CC with a $350 Xbox360 for $16.28. This deal kicks arse.

I guess its an ok deal but if your sensitive to rbe, adverse to changing bulbs, diminishing brightness levels. I would rather pay a few hundred more and get a plasma. You end up paying that much anyway after you eventually get the replacement bulb.

If you spring for the led you get non of the aformentioned negatives but they are pricey.

Why would anyone who plays video games want a plasma tv? This DLP resist "burn ins" and has a specific GAME MODE. And from what i've read in almost every single video forum is Plasma tv's burn out much faster than DLP or lcd..... nuff said

/cheers

Pretty good deal, especially for a B&M store.
For example, the 50" 1080P set is $1,269.98 shipped on Amazon. With the 360 & Halo 3 in cart, total comes to $1,679.96 shipped vs $1,708.96 after tax with BBY. I'd rather spend the extra $29 at BBY and have a physical store I could return/complain to. That and if you can pick it up locally, you don't have to wait for shipping and hope nothing is damaged in transit.

As far as the highest priced 61" 1080P set goes, it is $2,624.56 after 5% tax at BBY, $2,584.97 shipped at Amazon. Savings are only $39.59 from Amazon.

And I can't find anything that beats the 720P deal, nor anything that comes close.

Since this is online only at BB, how did you take the ad into CC?

I added the items to my cart on the Best Buy web site and chose in store pick up for all 3 items. I printed the page showing the items in the cart with the discounted prices. Showed Circuit City the print out... They called Best Buy to make sure the items were in stock. Gave me my Xbox 360 no questions asked.

No disrespect to others but I love my DLP... love it even more with my 360 on it. The black levels and contrast beat everything else I have seen. I have a Toshiba 52".

If I didn't have a setup I'd be all over this like stink on shit.

Actually they included the Halo 3 preorder in the pricematch. I just have to wait till they get it in stock at pick it up at the store. :)

Oooohh thats tempting. Going to be spending 400$ on halo3 + xbox 360 anyway why not go ahead and get a HDTV with it for 600$. Thats not a bad deal at all. My original plan was to hook the 360 up to my 2005FPW, has anyone tried that, would that be acceptable or should I screw it and go HD?

I bought a 62" 1080i toshiba DLP about a year ago for 1200 off of amazon.

I spent about 2 months looking up tv info and trying/testing tv's before i decided on DLP.

This has nothing to do with the original topic, but here's my take on DLP's.

As someone said earlier, the black levels and the crispness of the colors is really amazing. Any HD shows look amazing. Why DLP wins out for me is A- pricing (I got 62" of fun for something that would be a 30-40" plasma or lcd). Secondly, most of the programing I want to watch is still not in HD. As I have notice, and everything I have seen rated, DLP's tend to have a much better picture quality for regular programming, and this is something I agree.

Maybe my bulb or something will brake, now, oh well. But really, projector tv's are last forever and dlp's have always been shortchanged because they aren't flat. I would guess my tv only weighs about 50 lbs, its not that heavy. It takes up a bit of room, but really, its no more than 1.5 - 2 feet deep for a 62" inch screen.

Anyhoo, that's my spiel. Oh, and do yourself a favor... NEVER EVER walk into best buy or circuit city or something and look at their tv's on display and judge image quality from their floor models. The signal strength is usually bad, the programming isn't high quality, none of the colors are balanced. I also assume they tune up the tv's for models they want to move or pull the biggest profit margin on.

Where do you see it? Looks like the package is gone completely. The ad is still up, but you can't select anything. Also the 50" is now $999.

Okay, found it and this deal is better than before.

$999 for the 50" plus the XBox 360 for free. Pick up the game for $60 (or don't) and it comes to 1059 before tax.

edit: okay, not as good of deal as I thought. The $350 is off the original price, not the sale price. So the total is $1199.

Yeah the "350 off" is a complete rip. Its really 150$ off their "already low" price. Which is to say, the 350$ is complete BS. The TV can be found for 999 at other stores as well. While 150$ off is OK, its not the that hot.

Yea, I looked into this deal. Even if you could call in and get them to take $350 off the $1499 price (which is the price anyone can buy at right now for the 50" 1080p), with the $350 Xbox360 and tax/shipping it still comes to more than what you can get it for on Amazon. ~$1700

Amazon has the same 50" DLP 1080p for $1269 right now with free shipping, add a $350 Xbox360 (also free shipping), no sales tax (at least for me in AZ) and it comes to $1620. Actually had this deal in my cart and very tempted to push the buy button, but the wife would kill me. :)
