Yes I remember those long registration questions. I registered for an account during the Windows XP + Lava lamp deal..

If you were one of those people, or those people who recieved numerous Not-For-Resale software from microsoft and already have a account, all you have to do is log into that website.

Yup since i got that xp and lava lamp deal all i had to do is login and hit register, and it said "Thanks"..

Thanks for the post Madferret

WOOOOAHHH that wasnt hard, clicky clicky lots of very and super very important subjects. Microsoft is good about sending stuff so good times. 🙂

Thanks

I am all set on this one...got my shirt from the XP launch and ended up giving it away to the head of security at work.
It wasnt that nice 🙂

Wait, are you supposed to OWN the company you're registering for? If so, then I just tried to tell Microsoft that I own Compaq. oops 🙁

Wow, it took me a whole eleven minutes. I think it is worth it, as long the the t-shirt isn't so cheap it's see thru.

<< I think it is worth it, as long the the t-shirt isn't so cheap it's see thru >>

well, if it is, then you give it to your gf to wear, which would *still* make it a hot deal, right? 😉

It was worth it for the cheap XP Pro, Lava Lamp, and free copies of Picture It!, Zoo Tycoon, Flight Sim and the other 6 or 7 titles I received. Tack on a free XP shirt. Unfortunately, I'm a little embarassed to wear the free Flight Sim 2002 shirt I got with the software. It has a picture of a commercial air liner on the front and back with the title Flight Simulator. Fraid people will accuse me of being a terrorist.

I got in on the XP pro and lava lamp but have not tried any others. I tried to go for the shirt but when I log in I can't find out where else to go. Is that picture it deal over?

Probably. You had to pass several tests to show you learned some trivia about their retail software. Answers were posted in a thread here in December. It took about an hour of work and I was sceptical about ever receiving anything, but one day I got a host of mostly worthwhile CDs in the mail with the free shirt.
