I try viewing the thing and winamp opens and nothing happens. I also installed that replay wrapper thing and it didn't help. Anyone know what I should do here? Thanks

Pretty sure you have to use windows media player. Just download the replay wrapper, then open it and it will open the media player and start the stream...at least that's what I did.

I did have to manually change the file type .asf from its deafult Winamp to Media Player. I also had to use WMP 11, as 10 wouldn't work either. Several hoops to jump through, but I watched two vids last night (as well as did a vLab on the Office side of the site) and watched the third this morning. Mine are all currently pending, but after 24 hours (Saturday 9am) should be marked as completed.
The virtual labs are interactive, and I learned much more doing those. At a tech summit last month I came away very impressed with the Office product, but I'd prefer to have Vista over Office simply because the OS is obviously used more for my needs at home than the suite would be.

Ok I deleted winamp lol and now it's opening WMP but it's giving me this:

Windows Media Player cannot play the file. If the file is on another computer, verify that you are connected to the network. If you typed a path, verify that it is correct. If the problem persists, the server might not be available.

Any ideas?

Ugh..I forgot to have my industry selected but I had everything else in place. That is fixed now, hopefully soon enough...

Edit:
I selected everything properly on my registration page for Vista. Hopefully that is good enough.

I must have registered right before it sold out because it is still allowing me to watch the videos (for some reason WMP keeps getting errors while trying to play the videos but the website thinks I am watching them. Bizarre).

The last of my three seminars turned from pending to completed this morning for Vista, but the page does not show the message about shipping in 6-8 and I have yet to receive any emails about any surveys. How long did it take for you guys to get the completed messages?

this is 12/1 and I completed all 3 on 11/29

I have yet to receive my e-mails but Mark Brown (one of the guys in control of this) is aware of the bottleneck and says just to sit tight. So don't let your termper get a hold of you because I'm seeing a ton of punctual responses to questions on this one.

Another encouragement that we'll get our copies of Vista/Office is that the responses are not boilerplate responses.

So just hang tight and keep posting your progress.

PS My 3 "pending" are back to "completed" as of today. Again I have yet to rx any e-mails but good rule of thumb is 24-36 hrs after your stats is "completed"

That's the standard message those of us that actually got through eventually had to see ab out 20+ times while continually hitting play until we got in. This can be attributed to the massive response to this offer.

Just be patient and join the crowd of those who have devoted some serious time to this :)

I'm having a weird problem where the vista side of the site doesn't work (I get the "The Page Cannot be Displayed" IE error) but the Office side works just fine. Does anyone else have this problem?

I have seen the same thing today. It might be to lessen the load on the Office side since it was still available up until a few hours ago.

They weren't selling anything, so how could they sell out? They should have said ran out.

Oh well.

Woot, my profile shows the "Congratulations.....shipping 6-8 weeks after the product launch message. Keeping my fingers crossed. When XP launched, I managed to get 2 free copies by attending one of their launch events. Free is good!

Cheers,

I can access the Office side from work, but not the vista side.
I can access both sides from home.

Very odd.

Now Office offer is showing as dead. If you already registered, you're all good... just no new offers.
