This is very generous of you and I encourage people to give the DA (DirectAdmin) control panel a try.

However if you prefer "OH LOOK THE PURDY COLORS" you should stick with cPanel 😉

i signed up for one of these for a different site but was never able to get the damn email to work and couldn't figure out how to upload any files

Did you ask for help? Mail is an icon in cPanel that should be easy to create new accounts in. Files are uploaded over FTP.
 

To sign up please send an email to [eric at telnap dot com] with your domain name, email address, and AT username. If you do not have a domain name you may choose a subdomain of atothosting.com. Accounts will be created in batches daily (every evening), so please be patient


I am looking for a cheap host for our locar RC car club. I am interested but don't have a domain name yet.
How does the subdomain thingy work? Will I be able to transfer the account to a domain name later on when I got one?
