Following the link, it already auto-filled my prior shoprunner email addy. Should I submit that or enter my (different) primary paypal email instead? The old shoprunner email address is my secondary Paypal email addrss.

Their link to the terms on that page doesn't make it clear if they will auto-renew at the end of the two years and start automatic billing. Is there a way to turn off auto-renew in your shoprunner account settings? Instead it is vague stating:

  1. AUTOMATIC RENEWAL.
UNLESS YOU ARE ENROLLED IN A PROMOTIONAL MEMBERSHIP SUBJECT TO DIFFERENT TERMS, YOUR MEMBERSHIP FOR THE SERVICE WILL AUTOMATICALLY RENEW EACH YEAR, FOR ANNUAL MEMBERSHIPS, AND EACH MONTH, FOR MONTHLY MEMBERSHIPS, UNLESS YOU INDICATE AFTER ANY APPLICABLE TRIAL PERIOD, THROUGH YOUR ACCOUNT AND PRIOR TO YOUR RENEWAL DATE, THAT YOU WANT YOUR MEMBERSHIP TO BE CANCELLED. IF YOU HAVE NOT CANCELLED YOUR MEMBERSHIP PRIOR TO YOUR RENEWAL DATE, WE WILL (AND YOU AUTHORIZE US TO) CHARGE YOUR MEMBERSHIP FEE TO THE CREDIT CARD WE HAVE ON FILE FOR YOU. UNLESS OTHERWISE STATED, RENEWAL TERMS ARE FOR ONE YEAR, FOR ANNUAL MEMBERSHIPS (INCLUDING ANNUAL MEMBERSHIP PLANS THAT INCLUDED A SPECIAL PROMOTION FOR LESS THAN AN INITIAL YEAR DURING THE PROMOTIONAL PERIOD), OR ONE MONTH, FOR MONTHLY MEMBERSHIPS, AT THE THEN STANDARD RATE. EXCEPT AS DESCRIBED BELOW ALL FEES RELATED TO A RENEWAL OF YOUR MEMBERSHIP ARE NON-REFUNDABLE.
How do we know if we're enrolling in a promo subject to different terms if these are the terms linked from the promo?

Since I already have a subscription with my Amex card, I didn't really look at all the terms and conditions. You might want to contact ShopRunner customer support, and get it straight from the horse's mouth.

Turns out my prior Shoprunner free membership was active, valid to the end of this year. Went ahead and did the linked offer, inputting my existing shoprunner account email address and it immediately updated my account enrollment for 2 more years.

There is an option in account settings to turn on and off auto-renew (being billed for service at that point if it auto-renews). Mine was already turned off and stayed off after getting the addt'l 2 years. Whether it initially defaulted to off when I first acquired the free offer a few years ago, or whether I had to go in and set it to not auto-renew, I cannot recall.

I also got this with my Amex card, however, there is no place I shop that actually uses them. :(

Well, that seems to have worked. I haven't had an active ShopRunner account for a few years, but two clicks and it was done. My account now reports that it expires in November of 2019. And surprisingly enough, auto-renew is set to off (not that it would do SR any good; I don't have a current credit card on file with them).

Thanks UsandThem!

Side note: this also doesn't seem to check whether you have a PayPal account or not. At no point was I directed to PayPal. Instead it immediately activated me after filling out the sign-up page.
