Free to use mobile web on verizon?

I just switched to verizon wireless and got an lg vx6000. am i able to use the web on the phone and it just uses my minutes right? there is no fee like on att where you get charged per k or is there?

Correct, just be sure to check that mobile web will deduct from your minutes before you start using it. I have the LG VX6000 w/ a USB cable and it's works great w/ my laptop. You can get the cable for ~$35 off of ebay.

cool, so is there a place i can get free ringtones or wallpapers? or do i have to use that get it now service which seems like a ripoff to me.

Well once you get a USB cable, there is a program called Bitpim that allows you to have full access to the file system on the Vx6000. I suggest checking out www.howardforums.com which has a forum just for verizon and LG phones.
