Pure titanium - that might be true. I'm sure it's some sort of titanium alloy and those can be harder than steel. 🙂
 
Got mine yesterday. Came with a coupon for a free utility knife with purchase of 50 blades. No clue what the blades cost though.
 
Now.. to find some stuff to demolish with it..

It felt so good to cut my old crappy fiberglass bathtub in half with my Sawzall and a carbide-tipped blade..

Indeed. However, it isn't a titanium coating, it's a titanium nitride (TiN) coating, which is harder than steel. TiN is the telltale yellow color.

I suppose everybody's so used to hearing about "titanium" this or that that it's impossible to start using titanium nitride now.
