The big deal - no mercury - not even in a battery.

Precision Phase Change.
Matrix of small green dots with different melt points each w/2 mg of material.
Last dot to turn black (indicating material melted) indicates temp.

Oral or Axillary (Mouth or arm pit?)

Looks like 2 sets of matrix - Fahrenheit and Celsius

Available at retail under Vicks brand.

Actually, I think the one in your butt is thicker in the glass.

I've used this kind when I have given blood (although they
were used as a disposable type). If you call for one and
aren't in medical profession they are probably going to
refuse you, but YMMV.
