i subscribed to rollingstone for one year, a few years ago. i was considering renewing it but decided against it. they kept sending me the "last chance to renew!" offers and all that crap in the mail

anyways, the moral of the story is that they still send me the magazine for free after all these years. i don't know if it'd work for others if they didn't renew their subscriptions, but maybe it's worth a shot...

about 6 months I did a free sub to rolling stones, but used a fake name like I do for most free mags. Well, I keep track of the names, and I started getting spam regular mail from playboy and other outfits to my fake rolling stone name...

this deal didn't work anyway, i recieved a mail that it was "only for members of blah, blah
please enjoy this offer for $26 dollars a year "
oh well

Whatever happened to this magazine?

I remember when this mag was cool. When Rock and Roll was about rebellion. Now it just one big advertisement for fashion designers. Just how many articles do you need about Beyonce? I got a free 3 year subscription. After 3 months I couldnt take it anymore and called them up to cancel.
