LOL, if this is real, he has retreated into a fantasy world, to avoid facing it. He has reached the hysterical teenager at
See, you can say something bad about Trump. By implying that having the same level of reading comprehension is an insult, you are implying Trump's sucks.

Goddamn son, well done! I missed that completely.

I do care. It's just relevant to this situation. I don't think Trump the evil monster you seem to

You think the target of Griffin's joke engaging in similar but far more egregious behavior is irrelevant to a discussion about her? On what planet would this be true?

Yea, kinda like seeing an effigy of your dad burning in front of a church, or some 4th rate, county fair headliner calling for your dad or mom to suck on his machine gun, right?

so showing a bit of humility and apologizing is wrong because of other events? wtf is wrong with you?

Someone linked here Waters performing Sheep at his Berlin (I think?) show back ~August, prior to the election. The video accompan-accumpe-acomp....video was all Trump, and could have been more or less lifted direct from the imagery from the Wall, and was entirely appropriate. It was brilliant. Really cool to see him doing the same in the US.
Actually that was in Mexico City 🙂

No, he's saying that conservatives are hypocritical for their selective outrage. Everyone agrees that Griffin should apologize, it's just that conservatives had little problem with much worse being done to Obama and Trump himself has engaged in much worse behavior which conservatives clearly didn't mind enough not to vote for him.

This last year has been so unreal, I am beginning to drift toward the idea we are living in a simulation.Observing all the hardcore right wingers belittle others for any emotional reaction to something their heroes do, engage in the same behavior and not realize they are doing it? This cannot be real.

Help us, Freddie Mercury, you're our only hope!

no what it sounds like you liberals are saying is. "we don't care, give us more, kick it up a few more notches its ok because of something something 20 years ago". blah blah blah.

please show me a picture of Robin Williams holding up a bloody head of Obama or Clinton. she crossed the line why is that so hard for you liberals to admit? oh, thats right because of something something 20 years ago.

liberal humanity and decency has been lost.

I am all for Freedom of Speech but this is going to far for anyone. This is too much for any person to endure, and to make fun in such a disrespectful way, not taking into consideration the person you are making fun of, just turns you into a person that I would not accept in my reality. It doesn't matter if this is about Trump (of which I disagree as well) or if it is about a guy around the corner, this is something that shouldn't be protected by any law, amendment or freedom of speech.
This shouldn't be tolerated and should be treated as is, there should be consequences to such a behavior.

You obviously haven't read the thread then. Almost every single liberal said what Griffin did was inappropriate and she should apologize. It's really weird for you to say 'why is it so hard for you to admit?' something that like a dozen people already admitted long before you wrote that post.

Also, attempting to say that Trump's atrocious behavior about exactly this sort of thing in the past, something he refused to apologize for as recently as last year, is bullshit. If you're mad at Griffin you should be ten times as angry at Trump.

That is not what he wrote at all. Is this a deliberate disinformation campaign, where you ignore everything being stated? Sea Ray stopped posting, then you started, but with the same nonsense, curious that... Sock puppet? He tagged you in? He is praying for forgiveness for his blasphemy against Trump, so you are next at bat? Just shit timing? No BFD, but it does look bad.

so suck on my machine gun isn't sufficient?
DERP.

Griffin probably probably intended to apologize all along. This entire incident was all about her, not Trump. Just a desperate plea for attention, "Look at me! Look at Me! Look at MEEEEEEEEEE! I want to sort of stay semi-famous!!!"

But that's not the point. I think most people will agree that what she did was technically legal, but in bad taste and not even remotely funny. Just like her entire career. She's going to get a visit from the Secret Service as a matter of policy and they'll close the case and move on. But that doesn't address the bigger question. Is a high school student doing the same thing about his principal going to be viewed the same way? Can a pissed off homeowner hang up severed effigy heads of neighbors that are pissing him off? The laws are the same, those people have the same first amendment protections that Griffin does, but I get the feeling that the public outcry and official law enforcement reaction would be very different.

I'm not sure it was intentional. To paraphrase: never attribute to conspiracy what can be explained by incompetence. And a comedian known for hey-look-at-me moves certainly isn't beyond making a mistake like this.

Ideally, you'd have people take any incident like this seriously, regardless of who does it and who their target is. Not that you should assume there's deadly intent, just remind people that it's possible to be highly critical of someone without violent imagery. And yeah, there's some inconsistency now, simply because Griffin is a famous person with a known persona (i.e. treating this as a serious threat just wasn't going to happen).

Yea, but you kinda missed that point, so while I reverted to personal attacks your reading comprehension went way up. You're welcome

When did I ever say that I read every link put up by other people on the internet? If you're accusing me of not reading the link then I plead guilty! You're absolutely right.

Thank you for being clear, this is very helpful!

Now that we've established that joking about someone's death and then refusing to apologize should be a firing offense for a CNN employee, correct?

With that in mind, would you agree that seriously calling for the death of five innocent teenagers and then refusing to apologize for it should be a firing offense for a president? If not, why would you hold the president to a lower standard?

That happened before the election. I don't think a President should be fired for something he said before he took the job. This is information that was available to the voters and they took that into consideration before casting their vote

Did you vote for Trump?

nope, not the link, but the actual text, where I showed that ted nugent called for Obama and hillary to suck on his machine gun, no link reading needed, and you stated I didn't cite anyone famous then I cited your lack of reading comprehension, which appears to be, at this moment, accurate.
