Get it from here.
Fine print in case you are wondering why it is free.

Your risk-free trial includes remote access to 1 computer and will expire after 60 minutes
of connection time or 30 days, whichever comes first. Available for Windows users only.

Please post here your views.

You should change your title to "free trial".

And didn't AT&T or somebody have a real free application (VSN???) to do that. I used it quite a bit from work to home when my Verizon DSL had a static IP.

This is actually a web based application, but for $14.95 a month.....no thanks....i like my free (don't ask, don't tell) version of PCAnywhere 10.5 that can do the same thing and is probably more seure..

Yeah just use VNC, it works pretty much like PC Anywhere, and it's absolutely free and works across many different OS's including UNIX/Linux, Mac, PalmOS, Pocket PC, etc. Also, if you have a dynamic IP, there are services that give you a subdomain to fix that (like dyndns.org). Good luck! 🙂

Try remote administrator, it is great. You can fully control a users PC, setup file transfers, etc.... It uses an IP and a password to access another computer. Claims to be faster than most anything else on the market. I believe that its still free for a trial d/l...

If you're running win2K server or winxp, you already have a great version of this for free. With Win2K it's called "Terminal Services" and with WinXP it's called "Remote Desktop".

It has both a client application to be run on a desktop in order to access a computer, or you can access your computer through a webbrowser (it's an ActiveX version of the client) if you're system is set up as a webserver.

pcAnywhere does not do the same thing, it is not more secure.

Due to the dsl router I have at work, gotomypc.com was the only way I was able to connect to my work computer. I tried, VNC, PC Anywhere, Terminal Services, didn't matter. I'd have to pay $200 to the router manufacturer so I could 'unlock' the router, stupid router. Gotomypc.com works very well, it's faster than other programs mentioned here, and you don't need any software (well you do, but it's a quick plugin-type install). Good for a month to try, just remember to cancel or you will be billed.

'Remote Explorer' IS FREE..COMPLETELY FREE. No Strings attached and it works Well, no installation needed...just click and run🙂
