btw, this is not just case fans, its heatsinks/coolers as well.

Dang, I did NOT need to hear that... good thing I can't order anything now... won't be home to receive it for next two weeks...

Oh great. Now that I have all these new fans on the way, I guess I'll have to build a new levitating rig.

Get a FAR Cooler Master PSU to power it!

or recommend me a fan for antec p180. putting it where harddrive cage is. would like costs to remain relatively low

$15? too much!

recommend me another one then. my p180 carries 3 antec 3-speed fans. i haven't tested them yet, but those who have experience with them please comment.

$15 might be too much for a fan, but 15 dollar fans are the only ones quiet enough for me to use. Thing about stock P180 fans is they don't go low enough for me. Even at lowest setting they are still too loud for me. Currently I only have two fans in my P180 case, one in my PSU colling my hard drive and one exhaust nexus fan cooling my CPU. My videocard is passive for the moment, if nvidia ever comes out with reasonably priced 9 series card I might be adding another fan in my system on my videocard.

As I said before, $15 fans are the only ones that are high quality and that can be reliably undervolted down to 700-800 RPM. I think I've spent a little fortune trying different fans: papst, nexus, scythe, panaflo, noctua, Yate Loon, even silenx. Without going into much detail I'd recommend Nexus for 120 and 92mm fans, and made in japan Panaflo for 80mm (if you can still find them), if you can't find panaflo, then buy nexus again. It might sound a little odd that I recommend nexus so much, however in general I have found that nexus fans have had much more consistent and better quality than Sythe and Noctua.

Holy shit. I didn't even know it until you mentioned it. I was looking for some fans and this thread came up on the first page of my search. Anandtech really needs to fix their search engine. The dates are all over the place.

expensive but one of the best fans out there. I have one and it's so quiet. No pitch other than wind noise what so ever.

Are you retarded?

Isn't this a personal attack? Where's the mod?
