well, i got a email today:

You recently printed tickets for a private screening of The Chronicles of Riddick. We want to remind you
that the event is coming up this Thursday, June 10.

We look forward to seeing you there. Please arrive early, as seating is limited and will be handled on a
first come, first served basis.

And don't forget to bring your tickets along with a photo I.D. for verification. After all, it is a private
screening.

How long has it taken people to receive the e-mail after they registered on the site? I'm assuming that if you got the e-mail you're gonna be on the list?

I saw it... Liked it. Good action flick. Got a free dvd too with some game demos and a chance to win their new dvd in-dash car system. If you go to your local Pioneer dealer.

I just got back as well from the Houston one on Weslayan. Wasn't too packed, about 80-100 people there. I got the invite email, printed the form and went. They didn't check ID and no list of names. I saw someone running around with a piece of paper, but that could've been too count people or something.

It wasn't packed at all maybe 50-60 people. I didn't get an invite email and if there was a list of names I didn't see one they just took the tickets and let us in. No ID check either. Nice deal!

At Boston Fenway, 7pm: theater not full. Checked photo ID to the name you had on your paper. Made me with I had my ticket under CAPT. INSANO instead of my real name.

I got all excited - was about half full where I was, but the pre-preview for the Avic unit mentioned that someone "in the theater" (if I remember right) was going to win one of the new decks. I was hoping they'd pick somebody from the group of tickets they collected - but when they started handing out the CDs, I realized it must mean that somebody in the region/city/entire preview group is going to win. Anybody have a clue how many units they are giving away?

This was shown in 71 theaters so they are giving away 71 DVD Navigation systems worth $2,200 each. Odds of winning is 1:300, but I don't think most theaters seat that many. You have to bring the card witht the rules in the back to a Pioneer dealer so they can see if you won or not. I hope someone from the forums will win. Good luck.

I wonder if there's a way to decode the entry without going to the dealer ... it looks like some sort of coating on the card, maybe black light or UV responsive phosphors?

Good movie. Although I'm glad I didn't pay to see it. Went to the 9:30pm in Seattle. The middle section of the theater was full except maybe the first 2 rows. The side sections maybe had a total of 15 or so people total between both.

The Pioneer girls handing out the DVD's were hot :D

Yeah. It's UV sensitive. Stick it under a blacklight or a gel box and you can see the message. Tried it out at work. Didn't win...:(

edit: BTW, that movie was HORRIBLE :disgust:
