I've been wondering how a detergent can be made to take advantage of cold water? It seems gimmicky. I always use cold anyway, w/ regular detergent, assuming hot make them shrink more, and removes more color. Seems to clean fine I guess.

I bought a fancy front loading washer and dryer because its more gentle on my clothes and cleans them better. It also has a larger capacity than most top loaders.

Anyone who's in the market for a new washer and can afford it should seriously consider a front loader.
Really? How are the front loaders easier on clothes?

No agitator. I have a front-loader and absolutely love it. Clothes are actually cleaner. I just use regular tide though.

Great quote from Bryson's "earth" book: All washing your bed linen in cold water does is give you nice clean lice.

🙁

Back to the boil wash for me!

so i got my sample, but is it not meant to be used as regular detergent? the directions say:

Pretreat with Liquid Tide Coldwater. Start Washer. Add detergent, clothes.

wtf does pretreat mean, and how long do you put the washer for before putting the detergent and clothes in?

Woot, got my Tide sample today. The lady gave me a kiss for the thoughtfulness. It's important to get your woman to enjoy doing the laundry 😛. (Just kidding!)
