It's the "Look at my shaky, amateur video that's sometimes out of focus!" that screams it for me. Then the ads, meh.

For me, it was the cinematography and the kids involved. Obviously dressed by a professional stylist and acting the part of over-excited teenager. All their cheerful comments, faking a phone conversation.

Then the police sirens? They are in the UK, police sirens don't sounds like that in the UK. That was added in the United States.
