Well worth the $1.50 when most of the time new ones cost over $30 each. They limit you to one time but I'm sure we know at least one or two other people for different addresses.

I think it says you have to send in TWO empty carts... which to many self-refill folks, is worth more than 1 full one :) Ones you fill yourself you can fill to the top.

I had a couple that had reached their limit on refills and wouldn't work correctly anymore that I sent in. I refill mine also but after the third or fourth time of refilling they don't work anymore. For those who refill this might be worth it.

I did this deal about 1 month ago and I got a Lexmark black ink cartridge in good condition. It's a legit deal. Took about 3-4 weeks. The two cartridges I sent in were not refillable.

Hey that's actually pretty cool.. seems pretty wasteful to throw it away if it can be reused. We americans should take a more active role to recycle used products anyway.

While this may be O.K. as a one time deal, ($1.50 + cost of sending them your 2 cartridges), cheap ink is readily available for many printers.

For my Epson 600 and 860, I've been using:
megatoners----Epson Ink
and highly recommend them. I first spotted them on e8ay, and saw something like 3000+ positives, and 2 negatives, so checked them out. Wow!. Brand new cartridges, (not refills), cost $2.40 for black, and $4.99 for color. Free shipping with any mixed order of 10 or more, or $3.95 shipping if ordering less than 10. They come in retail boxes just like Epson uses, including the foil pack, and yellow peal off strip. Many other brand are similiarly priced. Click on printer toner.

Those refills are mainly for HP and Lexmark cartridges because you can't find generic cartridges for them.

RobsTV, good deal on epson, but that seems to be all they have as far as inkjets. happen to know of any for HP's? im trying to narrow down the best for color carts, as i run through new ones every 3 weeks for photo prints. good thing i don't need to print on glossy else i'd be in the poor house by now. btw, ive tried swap meet brands and they suck as*, but are good enough for my cheesy canons.

I was in the same position as you (I needed cheap HP cartridges). I went looking around and noticed at one vendor said that they cannot make HP compatible carts due to copyright/patent restrictions. All that circuitry on the back of the cartridge needs to be reverse-engineered basically and I guess that scares off their lawyers. ;)

Epson (and some of the "smaller" Canon cartridges) on the other hand have no printheads built into the cartridge. In other words, their cartridges are just big glorified ink holders -- the printer does all the "work" putting the ink to paper.

I think you are going to find this wherever you go: "generic HP" carts that are "new" are going to be hard/impossible to find.

I got in on the Rite-Aid B1G1 free deal for the #45 cartridge and now have a small stockpile of black ink for my 932C. I will up a creek when the color runs out though. I guess I better not uncheck that "print in grayscale" box anytime soon. ;)

Take care,

Isn't the one they send you going to be a refilled used one that someone else sent them?

Think they test them before they send them out?

For $1.50 I guess it's worth a shot.
