Gee! An opportunity to get sun stroke in 115 degree temps, while listening to a group that is 20 years overdue to retire. No wonder it's a freebie!

Nice. To defend RHCP you lay down an ignorant rant against rap. Way to spread the love guy. Personally you couldn't pay me to go to this show but that has nothing to do with rap, rock, or any dubious comparison thereof.

People who don't like rap haven't heard the right kind of rap.

Let's just say that, like every other genre, what makes it to the radio shouldn't be the deciding factor. Radio-rap blows.

As far as Red Hot Chili Peppers, meh. They're alright. Definitely worth a free concert, though.

haha

i don't think keidis(sp?) is a very talented music writer, but jamff/flea have some insane chemistry and are 10000000000000x better live than they are on cd.

please list what kinda music you listen to so we can rag on that ;)

Keidis is an average frontman. He has enough energy to get the job done, & puts enough emotion into the songs to make people somewhat forget about his lack of ability. The whole band actually gets credit for writing the songs, so I guess we'll never know who really writes them. The place where this band really shines, is in the music itself. One of the top lead guitarists, along with one of the best bassists, & one of the best drummers available in this day. You could easily say all three are top five in their categories. Combined, they are very original, & very spontaneous. Being able to listen to the jams in between tracks is reason alone to see them in concert. Great stuff.

haha i'm not saying i don't like him as a front man. I saw them 3x while they were in SoCal for their tour. I just don't think he's that talented lol; cuz let's be honest, lyrically (except for maybe UTB and don't forget me, and a few choice others) the lyrics are quite lacking.

However, I do agree with you. I love listening to them live because JAMFF is such a great guitarist live it makes me wonder why he doesn't put any of those solo's on cd. + all the jams/covers that they throw in for kicks makes them one of my favorite live bands.

Okay, now you have my attention.

I'd call this hot. Really hot, since you don't have to sit through RHCP just to listen to Weezer. ;)

Guys, guys, guys....let's quit arguing over all of this.

It's Vegas...

It's a lot of people...

Both bands are better than most...

It's free...

Sounds like a good time to me. ;)

Carbo,

If you had a real backbone, you would post some groups you listened to. That way others can arbitrarily diss you.

Btw, just because it's older doesn't mean it's not good anymore you 30-second-ADD-prone-trend-hopping MTV-raised no individualism zombie. 80s and early 90s music outclasses anything today IMHO...that's why I see college kids dress up in 80s-style clothing and there's tons of 80s music still playing on the radio, TV and movies.

Ever hear of Motown? Marvin Gaye? New Order? Those songs are timeless. Btw, I'm going to a New Order concert at the end of this month and hope they never stop making music.
