i used have something like this for my digital camera.. it came with the pacakage that i got for free..

since then, i used it for many other things... cell phones, ipod and stuff..
just to prevent them from getting scratched.

$3 isnt' that bad at all.

Hopefully these are better than the protectors made by Pelican. I bought the 2 pack from Pelican ($9.99) and, in my opinion, they are a POS. Most of these protectors seem to degrade the visual quality by quite a lot. Mine has a "pixelated twinkle" effect, so everything looked like crap. Games, movies, pictures, everything looks awful.

By the way, have a can of compressed air handy when applying these on. I've used similar screen protectors for PDAs and other things, and its too easy to trap dust below.
