Seems BalticaLaptop is giving away free Sony Playstation 2 consoles with 5 games (Crash Bandicoot: Wrath of Cortex, Half Life, Devil May Cry, Armored Core 2, and Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance) with purchase of ANY notebook from their site!
They've got IBM Thinkpads, Sony VAIO's, Apple Powerbooks and iBooks, Compaq EVO's and Armadas, and HP Omnibooks. Not sure about how their prices compete, but that free $300 console with around $200 worth of games probably works in their favor 🙂 Anyways, offer expires 12/31/01.


 
I'm 99% sure this is the same scam that was posted before. The deal was the same but under a different name. I'm not going to give my real phone number to see if when they call they will only accept a money order, thats what happened with the last scam these guys ran.

That should tell you everything you need to know. Since when is Lithuania a supplier of laptops and PS2 machines? LOL.
 
Notice their "About Us" page states they only take direct deposit into their account. They won't take cc because it is unsafe. That is too funny!

Any direct deposit deals are scams . This is most likely the same scam than the talibanpop.com site . Or is it tallian. com ?

The last one's address was tallinlaptop.com, but they've taken it down and I guess they decided to change their name and try their scam all over again. Stay clear of this and remember that if it's too good to be true, it probably is.

Man I'm glad I stumbled on to your forum. I was thinking about ordering ( actually I did order to find out how they collect on their site) well , it took my order, said thanks and their manager would contact me soon. He did via e-mail. said to wire money to bank in Lithuania. (Made me real nervous) Couple of days latter got another e-mail that said I was 1 of the 10 lottery winners ( won the $22000.00 Home theatre system. Now I'm really going nutttzzzyyy cause, "what if this is legit?" ) I emailed back to see if they would send the laptop C O D through UPS & then when they got their money they could send my Prize. they said that they only use DHL and DHL wouldn't do COD. & thy said my order would expire on 1/14/2002 . So I've been really wonderin what I should do. Usually "if it sound to goodddddd...." But what if...........? I guess I can relax now. There should be something that could be done to these guys.. but I suppose they will get away scotfree😱
