Just remember that this enrolls you in an automatic delivery program that you have to cancel in order to keep from getting additional coffee every few weeks at additional charges ($22.20-$29.80 plus shipping). From other threads in the past it seems that there have been no problems cancelling.

"You will be sent two 1/2 lb. packages of the type(s) you have indicated above with the understanding that you will continue to receive additional shipments of Gevalia coffee (four 1/2 lb. packages) approximately every six weeks, plus a special holiday shipment. Prices vary, and you will be billed only $5.55-$6.75 for Regular and $6.25-$7.45 for Decaffeinated per 1/2 lb. package of the type(s) you choose, plus an added shipping and handling charge."

I've done this two or three times. I actually wanted some good coffee. The mug leaks when your sipping. The jacket's good. My girlfriend loves it. Last time I did cancel on line, I think?! Phone cancellation is easy. I get my coffee from Peet's

Terrible coffee! I ordered the dark roast coffee and it was anything but dark and had a bad flavor.

But the jacket is nice...

I would cancel ASAP after getting the jacket.

No the mug is not nice. I signed up a while back for a free mug and thermos. The stainless steel thermos has a plastic inside...I can't remember if the mug did also. My first impression was that these things are pieces of c$#p. Anyhow the first time I used the mug it drizzled coffee all over me cause the lid didn't fit right...If I hadn't already canceled my membership I would have called and complained about their cheap mug ruining my shirt. So for $12 or whatever the price was I ended up with 2 pieces of crap and some mediocre coffee and a stained shirt.

Got the fleece deal a while back. Nice pullover. They are very easy to cancel but I think I had to do it over the phone. No pushy salespeople, no problems with my card being charged.

I signed up a while back and got a free coffee maker....it's great

The coffee is awesome!
A little expensive, so you may want to cancel before they start sending you more at full price.

I signed up a couple months ago, and I really like their light-roast coffee (including the decaf). It's not acidic (which is a rarity it seems), and has a very smooth, non-bitter flavor. In fact, I'm even staying on as a "member". I can see how some people wouldn't like this coffee, but it's almost exactly what I've been looking for.

As for account maintenance, it's simple to do online. You can easily change weeks between shipments as well as what gets shipped. I'm not sure about completely cancelling though, you might have to contact them for it.

I got the fleece and some bad coffee. Changed the automatic "re-order" period to 4 months and was going to cancel but forgot about it. Four months later I get my second order and a bill. Call 'em up and say I'm not happy with the product, they cancel the bill and tell me to pass along the second order to a friend.

Siniminister,
You've got to give Peet's a try, better prices and the coffee is roasted after you order it. The prices are for full pound not half pound and there is a current special on the home page for regular delivery of 2 different half pound bags for $11.95 with a bean container and stainless steel scoop. That's just a bonus though. When the beans arrive they are shiny from the oils released from the fresh roasting. Gevallia's beans are dry. Your taste buds will thank you. So will your regular buds if you like to share.

Coffee is best if it's allowed to degass for a few hours after it's been roasted.

Coffee is very comparable to wine (if you wanna gt all froo-froo over it you can) there are many varieties and ways of making it. I was a roaster/barrista and took it seriously for a while.... before I found a job where I made real money :D

Even though I've had realllllly good coffee I still drink Hills Bros. at home (I think of it as the Gallo of coffee) One of the best I've ever had was actually a Starf*uck's Arabian Mocha Sanani it's a rare bean and the taste is different though good every year....
