Not to bring up things that may have been discussed earlier, but how good are these? Is it worth it to go through the rebate wait for a pack of these CD's? Would some one who has used them before please comment? Thanks.

Not so fast.

The PNY rebate form says "valid only on part #CDR050B12-SB" The item on PCZone is CDR050B12-SB-X. Not quite the same (it's got that -X on the end). In fact, they have another item with the correct part number, but thte price on that item is $27.99, and the picture on the rebate form matches this one. The cheaper one with the different part number has a different picuture than the one on the rebate.

The item number on the one with the rebate is A 00115209, and it is $27.99. It's still only 8 bucks after rebate for a 50 pack though.

If you do a search at zones.com for the part # on the rebate form, it brings up sku# A00115209 50 pack CD-R for $27.99. I think this is the ONLY item that will work for the $20 rebate form that you posted. UPS ground is free but they charged me $2.41 Tax. Total $30.40 - $20 rebate = $10.40. Still a good price but not free.

I bought a bunch of these PNY when they were in a local BM store, it took FOREVER to get the rebate...as far as the quality, they are silver...lets just say..I would not burn anything good on them.

I have had no problems burning, and I burn 50 or more a week..but I dont trust them not to scratch or last that long.

$0.0 is a great price..I would not pay more for them then that

I have 100's of these cd's i bought them when they where on sale for like $14 for a pack of 50. There pretty good stuff and so far my favorite to burn with. I only have a 4x cd burner so i cant say how well they burn above that but id guess they do okay.
Also they look pretty cool, but not all that much area to write on. But still good.
