I use coppermine on my 1and1 account, I tried to use gallery, but gave up because it was being a pain in the @ss.

Coppermine gives you the option of using the WindowsXP web publishing wizard. It really does not get much simpler than that.

pics.bheemsoth.com

I set that site up in about 40 minutes on Friday.

Coppermine doesnt give the direct link to the pictures, once has to find it on their own. They give direct link to the page with the picture.

The pics script i don't think will work on my 1and1 hosting. I'm looking for something where you can see the pics and latest upload but also get the links sorta like photobucket or pics.

True...but is it really that hard to link to a pic?

I looked for this feature also, but you can't be too picky when it comes to installations on 1and1.

No its not hard to look for the link, but other users that i might host i might not find it easy... and yes i might have to give up on it since 1and1 is not great.

Actually the pics script also will not work in my sonataweb hosting, some of the requirements on the php are not met.

Maybe, i'll give it another shot.

It's not as easy as it is on a regular web host.

1and1 sucks :)

I like to give Snaps! software a  I just found it on Hotscripts.com and its very good and easy to install and easier to get the link so you can link to from other pages, but but you can't upload multiple pictures at one time :(. This can get very annoying when you have to upload tons of pictures.

The creators state they will eventually add that feature.

Well I searched Hotscripts for two days already and there is not much Image Hosting scripts out there that are cool plus free! most you have to pay for, but i did try the following ones, only one is a image hosting script the rest are mostly gallery ones.

P.S. I dont have a domain name so the link is just a standard 1and1 hosting name.

The following are on a 1and1 hosting

http://s90035092.onlinehome.us/

http://s90035092.onlinehome.us/picy/

http://s90035092.onlinehome.us/snaps/

Yes there are over 360 image galleries to choose from.

I would probably try Gallery, good luck installing it on 1and1. It can be done.

Hey Rossman, I just tried Gallery 2 beta and it works great on 1and1 servers and the installation process was so easy on it.
