My Aunt's computers are aging but the problem is she lives on the west coast. I need a free program that will tell me what components are in her system. I heard the Sisoft Sandra is no longer free :(

TIA,

Perhaps this explains why my S. Sandra stoped working all of a sudden. I'll have to check out this proggy. If it were say $5, I'd buy S. Sandra. I use it so rarely and only out of curiosity about my PC's performance so it's not worth more than a nominal fee.

Aida32... If I'm recall was stopped in early 2004 and is now continued as a Lavalys product under the name of Everest. EVEREST Home Edition "was" a freeware package for home use but not no more.

I've been using the old free one for awhile (even on Vista) and it works great

I tried the Aida32 and it works fine:) The benchmarking utility is not up to S. Sandra standards, but hey....at least this proggy works and it's free.

Best thing about Belarc Advisor is that it also shows installed software and their serial numbers.
