*edit* it seems that they took the item off the web.
If you guys want that motherboard, might have to visit B&M now*

Or take this ad w/ you!

I gues sit would be nice for a cheap system. Onboard video is fine for a nice pc, except when it uses SHARED memory, as is the case with this mobo.

nice - I have two old P1 systems that are collecting dust - scavining everything + free motherboard All I need to pick up is a cheap cpu - and wala - a backup system or give it to a charatiable org and get a few hundred worth of tax write off. 🙂

Looks like this rebate goes to Soyo direct....
Edit: Ya Microcenter's address is: 4115 Leap Road, Hilliard, Ohio 43026 While this rebate goes to CA.

It'd be a nice upgrade, but then again, I'd have to get new RAM (still using SDRam), new cheap CPU, new vid card (still running GeForce 1). Do I have $200 to upgrade? Hmmm.... thinking... thinking...

It supports pc100/133 via one dimm slot, so you could get by with what you have and has onboard video as well. You would have to buy a CPU and that is it.
You can upgrade to a different vid card and DDR RAM as you have cabbage.
I'm talking myself into one too....

I've had good luck with Micro center rebates (but I use one of those free rebate tracking programs - otherwise I'd never remember to call and tweeke the rebate houses). I think about 25% of rebates I've had to call. Also on the larger rebates+$25 - I spend the extra $2.20 to get mail receipt tracking. That lets them know you plan on following through.

Does this board only have one SDRAM memeory slot ? - if so, wonder if you can mix SDRAM and DDR (most likely not).

Now to watch for a fire sale on an INTEL Pentium 4 or Celeron - cheapest I've seen today is ~$50. I'd like to find something for half that

thks TimeKeeper for the deal !

would this make a good PVR??
im looking to build , but dont know much yet as in the specs etc that i need.

Thanks
Laura

I was able to find the item, but there is no rebate listed when going through the list of 478 type Mobo's
🙁

Hehe - yeah - seems like awhile, eh?

Might as well say that the whole point of a mail in rebate is to sell now what you can sell later at a lower price. This increases Microcenter's market share. They still make some money (since this one is free), because some percentage of people don't send in the rebate or screw it up somehow.

Are you sure you can see the item page? Beware since there is a similar model they also sell. I cannot even see that motherboard listed since last night. I'm furious because I really needed this deal to upgrade my wife's Tualatin-based system...

I just got back from the St Louis Park, MN store and they had 73 in stock. I already ordered another SOYO board from Mwave so I passed on this one.

I ordered for instore pickup (save on shipping) on tues, got the confirmation email with in an hour stating that I needed to pick up the board within 2 days.

I called to tell them to hold if untll sat (4 days) and they said the order would be automatically cancelled in 2 days - they couldn't over ride the system.

But the clerk in Fairfax, VA store said they had a few hundred in stock and the rebate would still be honored.

I guess the online store inventory is gone but the B&Ms still have a boat load to dump.

So were is a fire sale on Intel PIII ?????

Since there are no B&M stores near me, could I call and order one directly from the store? I wonder...

Wait a minute! I am travelling to Chicago next week on business and I can pick one up at their store. Now this is sweet!
