Thanks! :)
It would be cool if we got it--I've always wanted one but the price was never right.

I think that maybe these sites see all the referrals from forums.anandtech.com and think it's a conspiracy or something (well it is sort of). Maybe if we started right clicking links and selecting "copy shortcut" then pasting it into a fresh window to cut down on AT referrals this would happen less frequesntly. Just a thought.

Bohemian, keeping such deals unlinked was commonplace back in the days of coupon abuse. It pretty much stopped after the mods instituted the no-coupon policy. I agree, we should start leaving deals like this unlinked, unless they're actually ment for the general public (ie: the Jelly Belly deals, and such)

Bohemian-

Sorry but I couldn't get how will that help. Correct me if I'm wrong but as far as I can see the links on this forum is just plain links, which don't add anything about referral (unlike techb@rg@ins.com and other alike sites)

Thanks for the info mccal :)

Scorpi0 - it's very easy for a website to track the last page you were at before you went to their site. What Bojemian meant was they will see that all the new traffic is coming from a "hot deal" site and they will suspend the offer.

When you open a new browser window and paste the link in, as opposed to just clicking on a link in a thread here, it will not show that you were at a "hot deal" site and the offer will last longer.

Hope that helps.

I really don't think people suspend offers because they see a ton of requests from a hot deals site. The bottom line is that they see a ton of requests, and that's why they pullt he deal. These guys aren't going to send 10 million lava lamps to anybody, even if 10 million people randomly requested one on the same weekend.

People get too deep in paranoia when it comes to this stuff.
