Unfortunately it started in Oct 19. :/ But it's suppose to last 6 months so I suppose it's still easy to join up. (don't know nothing about that, but this is the second time they've done it so it's likely that there would be a third time if you missed out already.)
They have online course work, a free book with wiki for updating, mailing list, etc etc. The whole enchilada. Also if your not interested in teh course there are still the tutorials and book and everything is aviable online.
It's designed specificly for new users to Linux who wish to learn more about how the operating system works. So this is probably as good, or better, then what you could get at most universities for a Unix introductionary course and it's aviable for you for no cost.
