Good deal, but why would anyone waste $811 on an FX55 when you can get an Opteron for $200 or so and OC it to FX-57 levels?

That would be great if you are into overclocking and using budget components. But dont be a moron and spend an extra $611 on faster ram, a more expensive motehrboard , exotic cooling, and other fancy tricks to make that happen, because you would have been better off buying the FX-55 and a cheap motherboard in the first place.

With some half-way decent RAM, good knowledge, and a decent $40-50 heatsink, an Opteron 144 ($196 on www.newegg.com) can easily OC to 2.6 GHz.

So I suppose I'm a moron using my Opteron 144 running completely stable @ 2.7GHz with my budget component Asus A8N-SLI Deluxe (wait, it's just like the "free A8N-SLI Premium they're giving away.....hmmmmm), my ultra-budget Corsair XMS RAM (same timings as the OCZ RAM, but I got 2GB for just a little more than the price the OCZ is going for), and that oh-so-exotic and expensive Thermalright XP-90 cooling solution ......... yep, I sure wasted my money and saving that $400 or so sure was a waste of time.........LOL!

Honestly, if you're in the market for an FX-55, this may be a deal.....but calling people morons to justify anything is, well, moronic.

Fixed.

Why don't you change the title to "with A64 FX55 purchase"? Saying with AMD purchase is just fishing.

Pair it with the Asus A8N-SLI and sell it on eBay. You're bound to make $50.
For those actually willing to purchase this CPU...getting a free $150-$200 motherboard is actually amazingly hot, IMO.
