hahha, this is too funny... this is the perfect tool for pervs. i think i will get this phone just so i can take pics of some radom hot chicks i met on the street without been too obvious.

did a quick research and this is what i found so far

1. the 200 rebate expires tonight!!! that's right. However, amazon has a habbit of offering now rebate right after the current one is expired. So we'll probably see a new 200 rebate tomorrow, but don't count on it.

2. called up t-mobile and they wouldn't PM amazon for the price. they offered the phone for like 420. they best the would do for me was the 100 rebate and the 6th month free and you save on activation. that is if you are a current tmobile customer w/ no contract and you get to keep your phone number

3. in order to get this deal you will need a new activation, which means a new number for you. the phone is the cost of activation fee basically, so not exactly free. if you already have a t-mobile phone you can still qualify for the rebate as long as this is a new activated phone number. so for people who really need to keep their phone number, this one is probably not the way to go. however, if you can find a person to take the new plan, you can just switch the sim card from your existing phone to this one.

As wei said, the $200 rebate was just extended at midnight until 6/30.

Seems like a great deal for T-mobile service with a cool phone.

i'll like to point out that t-mobile is now offering unlimited data plan for 19.99. using GPRS people can get around 40Kps. it's modem speed, but you can now truely surf the web anywhere (within t-mobile coverage) and wirelessly

wow $20.00! That's great! That means my new "Free Laptop" with Visa which I hope to get (Found the deal here on the forums), I can set this phone as a wireless modem and have my laptop connect to the web wherever I go. This is neat-o. About freaking time. This almost makes up for stupid text messaging since I can just use my laptop. *GriN*

Does anyone know if the Bluetooth on this phone will allow me to connect the GPRS service to a bluetooth-enabled laptop/PDA?

Xtremist: Yep. It will.
If anybody has ANY questions about cell phones, service, providers, etc. then check out howardforums.com. Truly, the information dump for cell phones. Almost TOO MUCH information!
BTW: I have the Samsung S105 and the Nokia 3650. I prefer the Nokia for the usability/intuitiveness but the Samsung wins the portability, reception, and sound areas.
I would rate the two phones equally since they both have their good & bad points. Both are very cool.

Thanks for all the good info. I went to that site and read around for quite a few hours. Unfortunately, I can't find really anything about using the 3650 to provide Internet capabilities via Bluetooth to a PPC PDA, specifically the Axim.

I could see a few references to it with bluetooth, but nothing that was particularly helpful. I REALLY would like to use this phone to connect my PDA when I'm outside of 802.11b areas I have. I appreciate the help thus far, but if anyone can help me with this specific issue, that'd be great!

Allright, my phone came in today and it r0x. Amazong features, and very good connectivity. For example, I can view HTML webpages, and download files streight out of my webserver (or any webserver for that matter).

My parents need a simple plan with low cost, low min.

Go with the 7-11 AT&T free to go wireless phone (again. :) )
Deal end June 30.
99.99 + tax - 50MIR (At&T) - 50MIR (7-11) = FAR

$10 (20 minutes) refill card to start
and it last 45 days before another refill.

its not ugly, although i dont' really like the default face plate, but that can be changed. i like a color that contrasts well with the white parts.

and a few links i've found while since i got it 2 days ago to help you on your way.

its upgradable to 512 from what i've read.

blue tooth is your frriend.

just get a penblue one off ebay for 21bux. 30 shipped.

i upgraded from a geezerly nokia 5190, so the size doesn't bother me. its shorter esp without the antenna, and its thinner then my old ass phone. its the thiness and weight thtat you feel in the pocket, so its not a bother.

you can play doom on it:) puzzle bobble is out there somewhere, and aton of java apps:p yea howard forums is a decent place to look for info on series 60 phones.

This is an AWESOME deal, however there is an even BETTER deal. Go here. Here are the details of this deal.

You only pay $200 (as opposed to $300).
You get $150 + $50 + $25 = $225 back in rebates.
Free 2nd Day Delivery

I was going to jump on the Amazon deal, but I luckily found this by googling. I hope this helps some of you guys out.

Edit: And of course, you will need to sign a 1 year deal with T-Mobile for a plan that is 39.99 or up.

That link gives me:

Nokia 3650 $299.99
$150 T-Mobile Mail-In Rebate -$150.00
$100 Instant Rebate -$100.00
$50 Exclusive Mail-In Rebate -$50.00

$25 Exclusive Mail-In Rebate -$25.00

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

You actually make 25.00

Might depend on zip code?

Well Instant Rebate is pretty much $100 off the price. There's no waiting for MIRs...sorry if I wasn't clear.
