Free NNTP servers??

Does anyone know of *FREE* NNTP servers out there? I am looking for something that I can access usenet, because TW/RR newsgroup servers suck. I also would like to be able to access newsgroups from work from the same server as well.

Any help would be appreciated 🙂
 
Try Dejanews. It provides a web (http) interface for looking at newsgroups. Search for it.

There are free newsgroup servers available. I don't of any specific off the top my head, but you can do a search on the web. I would look using:

Free Newsgroups

maybe Free NNTP

My favorite search engine is http://www.google.com
 
I tried Deja news, but the interface they have set up is such a pain in the a$$!. You have to click through almost 2 pages of stuff to get to the actual message. :|

Hmmmmmm....I tried doing the web search thing as well, but a lot of the sites that popped up required you to pay for the service. They offered what I was looking for (ability to use a news reader of my choice), except they were pay services 🙁

 
i dunno, i really liked deja's interface, takes a while to get used to though

they don't have a nntp server though, i've been looking for a good one myself
