Free NNTP Server ?

the bandwidth and server space needed to run a binaries feed makes it almost impossible to have a free one. if your isp doesn't have one then it look like you're out of luck.

I don't think you're aware of the mass amount of resources required for a usenet newsgroups server, especially with alt.binaries.*
We're talking terabytes of storage and ridiculous bandwidth here.
Even if you did find a free one the propagation and completion rate would be so incredibly low, I'd be surprised if you found a single complete post.

Please tell me you needed a free newsgroups server to get ONE file. If you plan on leeching, at least fricking pay for SOMETHING (i.e. NNTP service), if not the software.

Good pay NNTP servers are

Easynews and Giganews.

Easynews has every single group imaginable and a 99%+ completion rate. Very fast too.
