In an obvious attempt to hook us football lovers into signing up, DirecTV is offering Sunday Ticket free...for today only. If you're a DirecTV subscriber and don't have ST, enjoy all the games for free today.
 
Yeah this is great. I've got the Titans/Pats game taking up about 80% of my screen and Red Zone channel in a little PIP in the upper right. Nice.
 
I was going to cancel it this year but they lowered the price for me enough that it made it attractive to just keep it.
 
I just had DirecTV installed yesterday in order to get the free Sunday Ticket package. My ass will be planted at home every sunday instead of at the bar!

Come to think of it, why am I on the internet instead of watching all the games?
 
I've thought about it but the hassle of switching from cable plus the package cost=no go. I'm usually able to find streams for free anyway..

they have been offering it for free to new subscribers for about a month now
 
How the hell is a game blacked out I am three states away from?!?! Two games are blacked out. NE/TEN and the Washington game are both blocked, I am in NC. WTF

True. That's how I got it last year, but unless you want to pay for it, current DirecTV subscribers don't get it. (IIRC, they offered it to me for $149 or $199)

If it's aired local it's blacked out since you can see it on another channel.
 
when i got mine i did not need any cash at all. as long as your credit rating is good they will give it to you with minimal cash
 
My equipment cost was only $99 and that's because I got the new 5 tuner whole home HDR. The three other HD boxes didn't cost anything.
