Fitness companies give away shoes to testers to see how they hold up after wear and tear. They send you are pair of shoes according to what you put in your profile and they ask that you wear them and report back with an evaluation. You do have to return them after a few month so the companies can inspect them. But I figure a new pair of shoes for a few months sounds good. I put my application in yesterday. Hopefully I will get accepted. Here are two site I've found that offers free shoes. Enjoy!!

They also offer kid shoes!!

When you have to send the shoes back... Do YOU have to pay for shipping or does the company pay?

Does it cost anything to be a wear tester?
No, it should not cost anything to be a wear tester. New Balance covers all shipping charges if you follow the instructions for returning products. If you lose the pre-paid return-shipping label, contact the Wear Test team and a new label will be sent to you.

I already got DENIED by Nike. 🙁

Don't feel bad cause everyone will. I think they just try to gather information.

I was denied too. Im guessing its to collect information but it would have been pretty cool. Glad I use a spam account just in case.

My gf got the NB shoes a few months ago. We returned them, she filled a little survey and that was the end of that. They haven't even sent any acknowledgment or anything.

At least she got shoes for 2 months.

I got picked!!!😀

I get my first pair of sneakers next week, but I only get to keep them for a month. I have no clue what they will gain in such a short period, but I'm not complaining. Thanks OP!!!

Well, I'm returning my second pair today. While I only had 1 month to test the first pair (which were really nice), I was given two months for this pair. Unfortunately, I didn't get much outside running done in Chicago these past two months, but that's okay as these shoes were not as comfortable as the first pair.
Just remember, if you want to continue testing, be ready to fill out a pretty detailed review of the shoes. They have a form to fill out but they are really looking for explanations/details to go with your ratings.

If you get denied, do they send you an email saying you got denied, or do they just sorta leave ya hanging? I applied a few days ago and have not received anything

You won't hear anything (from Nike anyway) if you're not accepted. Not sure about NB cause I did get an email from them saying I was accepted for test #XXXXXX and prolly 2 weeks later I received my shoes.

Look at the date of my first post, and then look at the post where I said I got picked. That's how long it took for me.
