free netscrape, bah. good thing xp sp1 let me uninstall ie forever, opera is much better.
I'm having problems with Opera 6.05 and these forums. I have the Java-based version, but I'm not able to respond to private messages, nor am I able to look at a user's profile. Plus, some other sites have issues with Opera. I think Opera has gotten better with each revision, but it's still not quite there yet. Maybe, 7.x will be the version to get "everything" right.opera rules

I quit using Netscape after 3.04G (gold ed)....after that it became too bloated. I switched back to IE, and haven't looked back.
I'm not Pro-MS-IE, but I'm more pro-compatible than anything. If the market were to go back to Mosiac, I'd go there to be compatible.

Surely you don't think IE is any less bloated?

Mozilla's obvious advantage over Netscape is the ad-blocking feature. To add this to Netscape, make sure the software installation option is enabled. This is done by going to Edit->Preferences->Advanced->Software Installation. This allows individual components to be added to the browser. Now download from this link: Netscape 7 ad-blocker
Click install on the installation window that pops up. After this is completed, restart Netscape, then go into Edit->Preferences->Advanced->Scripts & Plugins and uncheck "Open unrequested windows"
Hope this helps anyone that uses this new Netscape but found the popups as annoying as usual.
