Just got my "Headset" today.:disgust:
I realize it was free which is good because what a POS! I can barely hear anything out of it even with the volume turned way up. Oh well it WAS free after all...

Yep, that is what's good about freebies. You can complain but you can always be proud of yourself that you didn't pay for that POS.

I got mine too! Haven't tried it out yet though. Maybe by some stroke of luck my headset isn't a POS. Doubt it, but it was free after all.

Free headset/headphones are always sh*te. I have received quite a few in the past year and the only one worth using is the eMusic pair.. and they are far from quality headphones. Even the hands free unit that Sprint sent out for use with their phones is TERRIBLE.. but what do you expect from Sprint (spit).

These days I see free headset/headphones and I do the same thing that I do when I see YAFTS... exit my browser.

These are actually pretty decent ones... unless they changed the actual microphone in them, these are worth $50... they are emkay/knowles/talkmic vr-3185 mics (info here on it) i don't know how they can give them away though (they must cost next to nothing to make, since the design is made to be REALLY cheap, just all plastic that snaps together. only thing that would cost a lot would possibly be the mic itself). nice deal. it's better at noise cancelling than the labtec i got w/ my quick cam pro (and more comfortable). awesome find ranger x! too bad the promo's over...

Headset has kinda a wierd earpiece....going to try it out tonight....

At least the microphone has a foam cover on it...

Just received mine today, gave away my three other pairs (decent quality I might add) in anticipation. This thing looks a lot cooler than the other ones, but have yet to try it. Hope the quality is ok.

I now have about 5 or more headphones that I can use. I still like the Jensen headphone that I got for .99 from that one website for buying their MP3.
