Go here and register with them. You'll be sent a free CD from iFreeCD.com (Every month, you'll be notified by e-mail when the next CD is about to be shipped). This is not a music club and there is no CD to purchase, EVER. :)

Nice find, Ranger X! Free music is always a good thing. Oftentimes unsigned bands are WAY better than the prefabricated mush they play on the radio!

However, I think they should probably look over their business model or cut their losses now. A billion other internet startups like them have already ended up on http://www.f---edcompany.com/.. There's just no money in the internet anymore especially if you're advertiser-based. :(

Do you know why they ask you for your interest? They're going to use that info to spam you with newsletters. Then they're going to sell your info to other companies, so the other companies can spam you with their newsletters. You're demographics are going to be sold over and over again.

Word of advice, I'm sure many of you have already, but ALWAYS give out your fake E-mail address. Or, you're going to regrate for what you did.

DocYahoo, that's common sense isn't it? We would never allow companies to spam our real e-mail address, that's why there are plenty of free e-mail services out there. :) (My favorite, Hotmail with their "Block Sender" option).

Heres what it says on their Privacy Policy page:

...to let us share demographic information only, with the other companies ("Affiliates") whose offers you have opted in to, and (4) to let us share your demographic and interest category information with marketing companies. We DO NOT share, sell, rent, or loan any of this identifiable personal information (such as names, email or physical addresses) with any third parties. We may share non-personal, summary, or aggregate customer data with partners and other third parties.

We'll see about the not sharing email stuff :) But definately sign me up! :)

Yeah and if they do share and someone finds out, they'll be in big trouble. I don't think they're willing to risk the possibilities of lawsuits for a few bucks.

I think what they share is our reviews of their CDs that they send us (if you choose to keep your end of the bargain by submitting reviews).
