I just picked up my free copy. Sweet. Now i got Something to do over the summer.

I love these forums... Finally a place for the little guy to help the lttle guy.

Still alive as of 5:53 EST.

Isn't a MOC requirement that you get the books and such? Are they planning on mailing them or is it 100% online?

<< Also has a link to the trial version of Win 2K advanced Server that you need. So this is way hot!. >>

I think you can run this with Win 2K Pro. But I could be wrong. Anyone know for sure?

I got in too - Thank you for registering for a class on IMGUniversity.com. Your information has been forwarded to the registrar.
We look forward to having you as a student and helping you to achieve your training goals.

Kewl 🙂 Thanks!

Now I can start to learn some of the programs on this MS Visual Studio 6 Enterprise edition I paid $460.00 for. Free training is great most of the time 🙂

I'm running the SQL2K Administration Tools on a WinNT machine. But to actually run SQL2000 server you will probably need the Win2K OS.

Thanks for the post BTW - I signed up! We're starting the switch over to Win2K and SQL2K later this year where I work so this will be excellent.

Thanks again.

Well there seems to be conflicting views as to what OS is needed. Here is a clip from the Microsoft site:

SQL Server 2000 Evaluation and Developer Editions run on the operating systems listed above for the Enterprise and Standard Editions as well as on Microsoft Windows 2000 Professional and Microsoft Windows NT Workstation 4.0 with SP5 or later.

So it looks like I will be ok by getting the Eval. edition of SQL, and using it on a W2K box.

I would suggest starting a club at yahoo for your study group rather than trying to use the anandtech boards. If anyone needs a copy of the 120-day trial version of win2k & win2k server. I have them.
