I just got an email from best buy.

The reviews were terrible, and it seems like they delayed wide release by quite a bit (which is usually a bad sign with movies). But then again it also seems like if you liked the book it wouldn't be so bad, just kinda ham fisted non-subtlety throughout.

I read this book back in high school (for a class, and yes it was a pretty hippyish newageish class), and more or less don't really remember anything by now, but I don't remember hating it either. But then again I might have just read what I needed to pass, so who knows.

Still, wanna go see it anyway if only because the mechanic was such a weird character in the book.

Any day now they'll make a zen and the art of motorcycle maintainence movie I guess lol.

I wasn't really interested, until I watched the trailer. I relized this was based on a book I read in high school. Count me in for 2.

What type of nomination religen this movie about? Is this an anti Christrian movie? Is this base on the old bible or some new bibles?

Having skimmed the book at a bookstore, I will say that it is an obvious and talentless rip-off of the Carlos Castaneda books by a hack looking to cash in. Given that, I would expect any movie to royally blow. But if they're actually giving away tickets...it gives me shivers to think of it. We could be talking worst movie of the decade. They'd have to pay me in advance for me to watch this.

I just watched Music & Lyrics. This would have to do pretty bad to make that look better. Besides, anything that's free automatically gets a little credit 😉
