i think it was CNET who had a review of all current paypal-like services...
and i believe C2it had some downfalls.

well, i know they did, as i used that review to help decide which way i wanted to go...

and of course, i ended up with paypal.

sorry i can't remember what the hell was wrong with em'
but this was a thread of not too long ago, discussing options, i just have crappy memory.

shoulda got crucial LOL

paypal charges high fee for so called premium accounts which sucks.

i only use c2it now, which is free for me. the down side is that they don't tell you exactly how much balance you have, you gotta figure out for yourself.

The reason that more people don't is it is because not a lot of people use it :p

And because they treat credit card transfers for non Citibank credit cards as cash advances which start accruing interest right away.

Other than that, they're fine.

c2it will eventually start charging fees, but right now it wants to build a customer base. just like paypal, when they were starting out, they had to get a lot of customers so they had no fees and free $5 to join, but they cant afford to lose money forever, so fee.

The reason I don't use it, is because I sell on ebay, and no one ever heard of c2it :) Gotta have what the people want :)

The only thing c2it is good for: extracting your money out of your paypal preferred account to get your cashback bonus (Be warned if you do it too much your c2it account will evently be closed.) Other than that the site is a joke. Nothing but issues.

Well a if more people use c2it then Paypal will have to keep its rates low.

i.e. how much slowwer and and overpriced would Intels CPU's be if not for AMD?

I have a premium account with paypal. I don't get charged that 2.9% fee if I just use the ATM feature. I can also send credit card payment to someone too, but they get charged 2.9%!

Pretty much as long as you don't receive any credit card payments then you are fine. ATM payments to your account is still free.

Best thing about PayPal IMO is the user interface. I haven't had any problems with the service, but rarely use C2it because of the horrible GUI...

Edit: That sounded horrendously like something out of a "my operating system is better than your operating system" discussion.

Paypal is really starting to suck (or have they sucked a ass time ago). I got upgraded to the premium acct and 2.99% is really hurting the bottomline especially when ebay is now charging a 5% cut. ATM feature is nice but you have convince the buyer not to use credit card which is a hard thing to do. Who wants to do ATM when they can use credit cards. I guess it's about that credit card protection feeling.

C2it terminated my account when I kept transferring my paypal balances to my c2it account then to my checking account !!!!! I was transferring about $800 every 1-2 weeks.

They said I am using c2it outside of its intended purposes.

Was it legit or were you doing it for the free air miles or what ever the creit cards offer?
I know alot of people are still doing that, didn't know if c2it was watching? Kinda what people did with payapl when it first came out.

I was not abusing it for miles or anything. Just wanted to avoid paypal fees for withdrawal. So periodically, I was transferring my paypal funds to c2it. Never have abused c2it in the past either to get airline miles.

My guess is that c2it is specifically on the lookout for people transferring money from paypal.

I remember when C2it came out and everybody was telling you how to make $500 a month just swapping money. So C2it probable just looks for anybody doing a lot of high dollar moves now. Of course when they do start to charge fees then that is when they will let you move as much as you want :)

I just checked and it seems that c2it is still free to move money around. They have a 1 day limit of $500 and a 4 day limit of $1000.
