Free MMORPGs

wow ever since silkroad here comes another free mmo, and not just one but plenty O. o

will try and see if it's any better than guildwar.

silkroad was far from the first free mmo. Something to keep in mind though, free MMOs lack extreme amounts of content compared to subscription ones. The subscription ones often run way better, look better, are more balanced, have more players and get more new content more often. Everyone is always hesitant pay monthly but everyone I've gotten to try one has always felt it was worth the price. just my 2 cents

it seems like the subscriptions are better for those who have a lot of time to play mmorpgs. if there was a usage-billed mmorpg it would be better for casual gamers and those with limited play time. but it / they would still have to compete with regular rpgs on consoles and pcs, some of which you can get for <$10 and play for over 30 hours with fresh material on your own schedule.

$15 for a month is miniscule. Even if you play 4 hours a month, that's a lower cost per hour than seeing a movie. It's also the cost of a crappy meal at a chain restaurant.

The problem with an MMO is most of the time spent is not entertaining.

Lineage 2 is worse game made in the history of games. That includes that old-school soccer game Native Americans use to play where the ball was a rock.

FYI,
Gunbound is a great Free online game, although not really RPG...
And about "Usage based" games, I think second life is like that... You can put in whatever money you want, and get it out at a later date too! There was another game that used to be like that, but it wasn't good...

I think OP probably owns the sites but hey it's free game.

Gpotato is a currency in Rappelz (and the others as well probably) that you purchase for in-game credit towards more powerful items. I don't see any implications that the OP owns the sites, but even if he/she did, these games are very good for free(Although if you want the better items you have to pay for the Gpotato credits). Rappelz is an excellent game and it does run in Vista. I cannot vouch for the others on the site though.
