the picture looks like the smartmedia unit has the usb port connected DIRECTLY to it so if your usb port is in the back of the comp, that smartmedia thing will be hanging out of there.

I just got one of the Zio's on Friday. Very nice and fast. Creates another drive on your computer. Comes with a 1M USB cable for machines with USB ports in back.

yeah it looks like that way.. but I also see cables in the box under under the reader.. maybe that connects the drive to the port? Anyone have this?

According to MicroTech it comes with a 1 meter USB extension cord.
