"Due to an overwhelming demand for the Maya Personal Learning Edition, we are experiencing a temporary slow-down in our server. As we don't want our users to experience long delays, please come back again shortly and try again. Thank you for your interest in the Maya Personal Learning Edition!"
I guess we r not getting it today. Been waiting for so long too.
it's their fault for making us wait so long! man... i'm getting 2000 and removing my gaming drive just to use this soft! they need to come on with tha come on
On a lot of 3D user groups, people complaint about this free edition, because it has this big watermarks across all the working windows that it distracts the hell out of you while working in it, not to mention causes excessive strain in your eye balls.
Yeah, but stability is an issue, but there's winNT, 2000, I *think* it works on XP, Linux, Unix, Irix, OS X....but that's Maya, dunno about the Personal Edition, but I'm gonna download it and try it out.
Hm.. I keep getting that too. Now, is this just for download? That'd be a good deal either way, but I couldn't find any sort of order form or anything for a cd.
Keep trying, I just got it from the official site after I reloaded again. I think it maybe shows that when the server has the max users d/ling it. I'm going to install it now I'm also going to put it on my morpheus shared dir, although they've been having probs, but hopefully some ppl can get it one way or the other

Thank Jesus! Their server has been hosed since word got out. I was just about to suggest a fileplanet mirror (at least there you can wait in a queue), but looks like someone at Alias beat me to it.
Just so you guys know, Maya is not designed for the GeForce line of cards, so as most people here probably have a GF1,2 or 3, you might have issues. The Maya website says that you may experience poor performance, erratic behavior, and stability problems when using GeForce cards....just a heads up.
It's been talked about and even company reps have been on 'The ScreenSavers' (TechTv) the last few days. I'm sure every time they run a segment the sites gets swamped.
