Don't bother. I'm in the industry so I wanted the software too. They called and hassled me about it, signed me up on their spam list, didn't send the software demo, and I still haven't gotten those stupid golf balls they were offering that time. Save your time and stay off their list. HEC-GeoRAS is just as good as RiverCAD and it's free!!!

Good points Erdman. Thanx for sharing...Now I'm glad I missed out. BTW, I remember the time when you'd sign up for a free Maglite ( a real one) and actually get it. Got one right here, it's from SAS. Man those where the days. The days before Anandtech made the USA Today & other news media. Remember?
:music: some cheese with my whine...please. :music:

NM looks like you need to have ArcInfo or ArcView.
Yeah...Geo-RAS is actually an Arc extension so ArcView 3.2 or ArcGIS 8.x is required. If you have the Arc software, you can download the extension from the HEC website. HEC-RAS and other HEC software can be downloaded for free here from the HEC website. Unfortunately, there aren't any "free" or shareware versions of water surface mapping software.

Erdmann - where do you work & what do you do if I may ask? Don't see many of our "kind" around usually. :D
