On what facts are you basing this statement?

perhaps people are too busy to surf on ebay from shopping at after Xmas sales and returning their gifts? Being long time sellers, one learns that during holidays items don't normally fetch as much same as ending an auction during a Friday or Saturday when most people are actually out.

as long as your auction starts today, it is free. You can have any starting price. 10 day auctions, scheduled auctions, and other extra features are still extra.

""""""how much does ebay charge for listing fees?""""""

That depends on if you have listed before and done the paypal setup and verification
Usually runs around 10 bucks if your list low priiced stuff

A lot of people get $ for Christmas. Now would be the logical time to spend it 😉

But most consumers are too busy shopping in stores instead of sitting in front of their pc and bidding on ebay. I for one do not sit glued to my computer spending my friday nights looking at ebay.
